There was joy, royalty, and celebration in Ode-Omi Kingdom in 2025 as the daughter of His Royal Majesty, Oba Akinyelure, and Her Royal Majesty, Olori Olamide Akinyelure, got married in a grand royal wedding. The union brought together sons and daughters of Omi, dignitaries, traditional rulers and well-wishers from across Nigeria and abroad.

The wedding ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and modern celebration. It reflected the rich culture of Ode-Omi and the dignity of the royal family. The palace was filled with pomp, color, and royal splendor. Traditional drummers, cultural dancers, and royal chiefs were all present to witness the historic event. Family, friends, and community members came out in their numbers to celebrate with the King and Queen on this joyous occasion 

During the ceremony, prayers were offered for the new couple. Elders, religion leaders, and royal chiefs prayed for a marriage filled with love, peace understanding, and fruitfulness.

His Royal Majesty and Her Royal Majesty, Olori Olamide Akinyelure, expressed joy and gratitude to God and to everyone who came to celebrate with the royal family. Speaking at the event, the King described the wedding as a moment of pride for Omi kingdom. 

Olori Olamide also thanked guests for their love and support, and prayed for God's guidance upon the new couple.

Guests were treated to rich Omi cultural displays, music, and royal hospitality. The event showcased the beauty of Omi tradition and the unity of the people. It was truly a royal affair that will be remembered for years to come
