The Odogbo of Omi, Oba Akinyelure Olorunsola Ajiboye (Akinyelu III) was installed as the 22nd Odogbo of  Ode-Omi on August 6, 2019. As he ascended the throne a new chapter began for Ode-Omi Kingdom 

He came not just as a king, but as a visionary. A king with a mission to move Ode-Omi from tradition to transformation, while still keeping our culture strong. Under his reign, Omi Kingdom has witnessed development that our fathers only prayed for.

For the first time, Ode-Omi got solar energy and solar-powered boreholes. No more walking far for water. No more darkness at night. Our traders can trade late with light 

He also delivered what people called 'impossible" in his reign the bridge to OFO RIVER was constructed and Roads to  all our farms were graded and farmers can take their produce to market without stress

Today. Omi people are having good jobs within and outside the kingdom. Because of peace and infrastructure. Our students are going to higher institution more than ever before. The king encourage education. 

HIS REIGN IS FULL OF FIRST

1. The First class Oba in Ikale, Ondo State 

2. The First Customary Court was built -  for quick and fair justice in our land 

3. The First Hotel was built in Omi - For welcoming visitors and sons/daughters home 

4. The First Petroleum Station was renovated - no more traveling far for fuel.

Omi is no longer just a town. Omi is now a modern town with opportunities 

Beyond all the projects, the greatest achievement of Oba Akinyelu III is peace. There is peace in Omi. There is unity among Chiefs, youth, and women. Under his leadership, Omi Kingdom is respected across Ikale Land and Ondo State 

He modernized the town, but he did not forget our tradition. He sits on the royal throne, wears the bead of our ancestors, and still listens to the people under the palace tree

Oba Akinyelure Ajiboye Olorunsola is the Modernizer of Omi Kingdom. The King that turned vision into reality, The king that proved that with good leadership, even a small town can shine like a city

Today marks a monumental milestone in the history of Omi Kingdom as we roll out the drums, sound the royal trumpets, and celebrate the 7th Coronation Anniversary of our revered traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Oba Akinyelure Ajiboye Olorunsola (Akinyelu III), The Odogbo of Omi Kingdom.

Seven years ago, Oba Akinyelu III ascended the ancient throne of his forefathers, stepping into a sacred legacy of leadership, wisdom, and stewardship. Since his ascension, his reign has been marked by remarkable progress, peace, cultural renewal, and an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the Omi Kingdom.

Under his regal guidance, Omi Kingdom has experienced a period of unity and harmony. His Royal Majesty has consistently demonstrated that true royalty is defined by selfless service to the people. A custodian of our rich culture and heritage, the Odogbo of Omi Kingdom continues to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, elevating the stature of our kingdom both nationally and globally.

Speaking with one voice, all sons and daughters of Omi Kingdom—both at home and in the diaspora—unite today to express our heartfelt gratitude, loyalty, and joy. From every corner of the world where Omi descendants reside, we salute a king whose vision continues to inspire us and whose fatherly warmth reassures us of a brighter tomorrow.
