The Ondo State Government in 2023 officially declared Irele, Okitipupa, Ilaje and Ese-Odo LGA as unserved areas due to BEDC's failure to restore supply.
VOICE OF THE PEOPLE
We have been using lanterns, candles and generators for 15 years. Our children cannot read at night. Businesses have died. Small and medium businesses have closed due to the high cost running generators. Major employers like Oluwa Glass Industry and Okitipupa Oil Palm Mill have collapsed
Residents are calling on BEDC, TCN, NDDC, and the Federal and State Government to please priotize Irele LGA for urgent reconnection with the upcoming education and business
